Psychologist Support

Technological developments, intense work conditions, expansion of city life, and changes in the family structure have been negatively affecting elders. Large families no longer exist in today’s city life; thus the social needs of the elderly cannot be met sufficiently. Consequently, elder people feel more alone and isolated.

Another issue for elders is their increasing health problems. If elders live alone in their homes, they become unable to cope with their increasing health problems on their own. If they live with their relatives, they feel like a burden and are often embarrassed to ask for help. This makes them feel lonely and helpless.

Our biggest goal in our centre is to create a warm family environment for our residents. We aim to create and maintain a social environment that contributes to our residents’ mental well-being. We appreciate that the most effective ways to maintain mental well-being are socialisation, communication, and interaction.

We provide a home environment to our residents ensuring that they feel safe in a big family. They can arrange their rooms as they wish, using the possessions that they value.

Our psychologist follows the mental “well-being” of our residents to identify and solve their problems through private communication when necessary.
